About 6 years ago after a week’s vacation, I was sitting at home trying to enjoy my last few hours of freedom before I went back to work on Monday.
At that time I was dreading to go back to work to a job I absolutely hated, the company was great but the job was terrible and it was killing me from the inside. I didn’t feel like going back at all. This is about the time the anxiety started to kick in, all the worries of going back to the customer service job were creeping in.
What’s going to happen? What issues will I need to deal with? Which complaints will I need to try and resolve? Euh! I just couldn’t stop myself from worrying about it.
This is about that time that I turned to Facebook and posted something like “Back to reality tomorrow? Why can’t reality be our weekends or our vacations?” I never really believed in this until now.
When I discovered that our lives don’t have to be the reality that we are told by society, that the only way of living is to go to school, get a job, work in it for the rest of your life, don’t take any risks, save some money for retirement, be careful… and even when we start to think outside the box, to think different and start to entertain the idea of another reality that’s when we start to hear even more negative sabotaging comments like “who do you think you are?, you’ll never succeed, there’s no money in that, no one will buy that, …”
Today knowing what I know now my Facebook comment would read something like this
“Why is that our “reality” has to mean going to a job and routines that we dread to attend every morning, especially Mondays, why can it be our weekends or our vacations where we do the things we love to do. Be it to spend more time with our spouses or our kids, or our family and friends. Maybe it’s doing more of the activities that you love like traveling, play your favorite sport like snowboarding or mountain biking, do more of your hobbies like photography? Whatever that may be you define your reality!”
I felt this way for a long time until I recently found the ideal solution and that is building an online lifestyle business selling information products. I get to run a business from my laptop and leverage the systems to automate the majority of my business activities. I also had a passion for marketing and this allows me to further my knowledge and generate an income out of it.
So whatever the reality you dream, you can get it! With the right vision, mindset, the passion, and dedication to your business you can reach the freedom you always wanted and live life on your own terms and in your own reality!
I want to hear from you and what reality are you looking for your life. Submit a comment below.
